 Two stunning  oil paintings by Sir Thomas Alfred Jones. President of the Royal Hibernian Academy of Art. showed up in Chilliwack. BC along with a raft of Scottish and Dutch art that made heads turn.

First ever edition of the Beano Comic $25,000.00

The first edition of The Beano was dated 30 July 1938 i cost 2 pence when it was brought out by the publisher DC Thomson of Dundee in 1938. The Beano arguably being the most famous of all British children’s comics with its most famous character Dennis the Menace.

A Bean first edition comic sold at auction in March 2004 for a staggering £12,100, by today's money about $25,000.00 Canadian dollars. The highest price ever paid for a British comic was £20,350, which was paid for a mint copy of the first copy of The Dandy comic, published back in 1937.

 The first edition Beano comic, of which only 12 copies are believed to still exist, is still the number one prize for collectors of British comics.
