It was a privilege to meet Chaplain Nelligan at the Greenwood Roadshow who brought in some Officers Mess treasures with fables which needed to dispelled. Mission accomplished! Major Nelligan is pictured here however with a dramatic copy after Delacroix by the Californian artist Mabel Alvares.

Musical Instruments abound in the first Nova Scotia stopover:
VIOLINS and FIDDLES
It was only to be expected that violins and fiddles would turn up at the Greenwood Roadshow in great numbers. Included were fine examples of hand built violins by Hopf and Jean Baptiste Colin amongst others

Be the first in Canada and join the British Artiques Roadshow at Greenwood Mall, Greenwood Nova Scotia which is the first antiques and art roadshow event of a brand new cross Canada - Canadian tour, generously hosted for the Annapolis Valley community by Greenwood Mall in Greenwood, Nova Scotia this May.
The antique and art experts of the British Artiques Roadshow are back in Canada again this spring with the ever popular Canadian apprasal roadshow tour of antiques and collectibles. With expert appraisals events going right across Canada from coast to coast.
But remember, it is appointment only to avoid long queues and disappointment so bookings are essential ( See mall details and contacts below)
Interested parties should recognise that we have no affiliation or connection to the BBC television series and that all appraisals are private and confidential matters and will not be filmed by us. However, it is quite normal that the event is likely to attract local media attention, such as journalists and news crews. Under those conditions alone, your permission may be sought for interview which you are perfectly at liberty to decline.
With well over a decade of hugely successful antiques roadshow type appraisal events across Canada behind us, the British Artiques Roadshow and its expert art and antiques appraisers are always pleased to be asked back to Canada for another tour of antique roadshows across the Dominion and in particular we look forward to a great roadshow of antiques appraisals hosted by the Greenwood Mall for the Greenwood community this May. For many years, the roadshow organisers have tried to fit rural Nova Scotia into the busy antiques and art roadshow event schedule without success. This year we are delighted that the Greenwood Mall management team responded so well and offered to bring the British Roadshow to Greenwood, for special three day roadshow antiques, collectibles and art appraisal event and that the Greenwood Mall and its fine management team are hosting the roadshow for the benefit of the whole Greenwood community this May 2nd 3rd and 4th. The Roadshow team are convinced that with such a strong contingent of the Greenwood community having their ancestral roots firmly planted in Britain and Europe that Greenwood will abound in treasures and family heirlooms that Canadian people are just itching to learn about.
Over the years, Canadian communities have turned out to the British Artiques roadshow antiques appraisal events in their thousands for antiques, art and collectibles appraisals at packed roadshow venues across the Dominion. In fact ever since the first ever British artiques roadshow was hosted twelve years ago in Ontario, we have been packed with eager Canadian's yearning to know about their precious belongings. Roadshow antiques and art appraisal events are always sold out early here in Canada with people keen to find out whether greatr grannies heirloom is just trash or treasure. The roadshow's organisers and appraisers are sure that the Greenwood Mall in Greenwood, Nova Scotia antique and art appraisal roadshow event will be just as successful. Frankly, its nearly always a treasure of one kind or another that the roadshow appraiser sees and with nearly $60 Million dollars worth of roadshow antiques and collectibles showing up already across Canada, the British Artiques roadshow is looking forward to coming back to Nova Scotia to unravel some more myths and legends, appraise and value family heirlooms for the Greenwood community and hopefully help and advise you professionally, entertainingly and without bias or prejudice. With the information already leaked that the roadshow was coming to Greenwood's, Greenwood Mall this spring, we're told that the word is already getting around and that the phone will start to ring loud at the Greenwood Mall and appointments for booking your antiques appraisal will sell out rapidly.
The roadshow team thanks the Greenwood Mall, its management and parent company Wade Enterprises Ltd., for being the very first host of a roadshow on the new Canadian Roadshow Tour for 2011.
